Now that the school chapter of my life is over (for now, anyway), what is the plan for Roades Illustration?

As we advance, the idea for me is to continue to learn, but from the perspective of paid work. I intend to find work in illustrative fields, and my ultimate goal is to work in comics in some capacity. I don’t have anything concrete, but I am applying and expanding my brand. Freelance work, Commissions, Long and Short-form video content, Webcomics, printed media, Cons, festivals, artworks, and more are coming soon! So stay tuned to hear more!

Where I plan on starting is twofold.

I plan on learning from the successful people in this landscape and how they operate by going to cons and doing research. I’ve also seen that it’s possible to get portfolio reviews at these events, so I will use this opportunity to continue to fine-tune my craft.

Expanding my brand is going to be the trial-and-error part of growing as an illustrator. I am going to try multiple different social media sites and see what works for me and what doesn’t. As per my contact page, I’ve committed to Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok, but I am looking into Bluesky, Cara, Tumblr, and more.
